A torn pectoral muscle is what they are calling it, what it should be called is the end of the road for Brian Westbrook. For this season at least. The newly aquired RB has been ruled out for the remainder of the season after fighting for a 2 yard touchdown run in Sunday's win over the Bengals.

"Yea, he is done for the year. Yea, you can't replace a Brian Westbrook, and yea its going to be tough.... but we are not ready to roll over." Coach Lovie Smith had this to say after hearing the news about Westbrook. "We still have a long road ahead of us and by no means are we ready to call it quits or will I allow that to happen. There is a history in Chicago, one that is built on blood, sweat, and tears not on excuses."

With Westbrook out, Da Bears will look to going with a running back by committee with Jamal Lewis and Mewelde Moore set to get more touches. Once again the offense will need to try to adjust to changes in the roster. Da Bears have had trouble gelling this year with the big trade and now the big injury, which is reflective of their 2-3-1 record.

Da Bears will be hosting the Cleveland Browns in week 8, it will be curious to see how they can rebound from this major setback.
