Waiver System Empty Waiver System

We will be going to a waiver system efective Friday 11th. We will start from the bottom of the power rankings and go from there. I will create a new thread under the owners box. Simply put your team and the free agent you would like to sign. Once I give you the go ahead you can sign your player.

Waiver System Empty Waiver System

Post  MaddenBeast Fri Dec 11, 2009 12:51 am

I like the fact that there is going to be a waiver system now. However, I want to suggest a few ways it should be run. First, yes it should be based on power rankings but not entire season. It should be all current players are in waivers for X amount of days. Then the lowest ranked team can grab whoever they wish by putting a claim and so on.

Please do not make it that all players are in waivers no matter what. This will make the league really stale and not worth while checking while on the xbox360. I really look forward going into my franchise(hmfl) and seeing the free agent pool and signing who I like based on my needs.

I offer a different a solution that will solve the problem of people doing "under the radar" moves by signing/releasing same players to hide their "real" transaction. The solution is to limit the amount of moves a team can make per week. lets say we set this limit at 3. This more than reasonable space for people plan their moves wisely and fulfill their needs. This will solve a person making 20 moves a day while still keeping the league interesting to check out while on xbox360. After all, we want something to look forward after our game has been played.

PLease post here or contact me if you want me to explain these suggestions further.

I like this... This will make it a lot easier to maintain and monitor. In all reality though we should be able to work on an honor system but until we can actually trust everyone this may be somethin to consider

Beast, here's im confused. U say the order should be based on the power rankings, but not the whole season, what do u mean by not the whole season? And u said, not all teams should be in waivers at the same time, what do you mean by that? I do like limiting the moves per week. Im proposing we start with the current power ranking and go from there. Example, say we are on the 10th ranked team and we advance the week, im not saying we should start over at the 32nd ranked team, we continue from 10 and so on. Your thoughts.
